The newly installed Obi of Idumuje Ugboko,HRM Solomon Eziokwubundu Nwabuokei Nwoko has settled down to work having made his maiden speech to the chiefs, elders and people of his community in which he sued for peace and reconciliation.

The choice of Nwaobuokei Nwoko was made following series of meetings held by the Iyase of Idumuje Ugboko,Chiefs and Leaders of the community. The choice of the community was thereafter transmitted to the Aniocha North Traditional Rulers committee headed by HRM Francis Ijeh, the Obi of Issele Azagba, the body statutorily empowered to make recommendations to the Delta State Government for recognition and presentation of staff of office to the new Obi.

The Aniocha North Traditional Rulers committee had upheld Solomon Eziokwubundu Nwabuokei Nwoko as the rightful heir to the throne following the death of HRM Albert Nwoko 111.The decision was based on age long kingship succession pattern which would guarantee Peace and decorum in a beleaguered community such as Idumuje Ugboko.

The Aniocha North Local Government Council has also recommended to the Delta State Government to present a staff of office to HRM Nwabuokei Nwoko in line with the recommendations of the Aniocha North Traditional Rulers committee.

As the community awaits the decision of the Delta State Government there is palpable joy in the committee that at last Peace has come to stay after long periods of community strife and kinship tussle.
