While the council called on all political parties and their candidates that participated in the gubernatorial election in the state to accept the outcome with gallantry, it equally urged the re-elected governor to be magnanimous in victory by extending hands of fellowship to all stakeholders in the Delta State development project.
The council stated that after the election, governance should follow; saying the governor should endeavour to concentrate on the continuation of development and progress in the state, even as it urged Deltans and politicians to also allow for governance, development and progress after the elections and avoid politicking for the next elections.
The leadership of the union pledged to contribute objectively to facilitate the success of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa administration, adding that it looked forward to an ever robust relationship with the Government of Delta State in deepening democratic tenets and good governance.
