The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) formally began its 2027 campaign on Thursday with rallies in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, and Ozoro in Isoko North. Party leaders asked voters to support President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and all APC candidates.
Oborevwori said his decision to join the APC followed wide consultations with stakeholders and was meant to align Delta with the Federal Government for faster development. He praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying higher revenue allocations had improved the ability of state and local governments to execute projects and meet their obligations.
The governor said 17,500 Delta students had benefited from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and urged more to apply. He also cited his administration’s work in infrastructure, education and healthcare, and said the State Executive Council had approved State Police Divisional headquarters in all 25 local government areas, ahead of the proposed creation of state police.

At Ozoro, Oborevwori asked Isoko people to show love to their daughter, his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, by voting massively for the APC. She urged the people of Isoko to back Tinubu, her husband and other party candidates. “Your vote is your voice, your strength and your weapon,” she said.
Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa challenged party members to deliver over two million votes for Tinubu and Oborevwori. Delta APC Campaign Council Director-General James Manager acknowledged Nigerians’ economic hardship but said federal reforms were already yielding better results.
APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said the turnout matched that of the party’s national campaign. Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and State Chairman Solomon Arenyeka also spoke, with Arenyeka urging members to win in their polling units.

Arenyeka presented flags to Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas (Delta South Senatorial District); Jonathan Ukodhiko (Isoko Federal Constituency); Lucky Idhove and Ferguson Onwo (Isoko South Constituencies I and II); and Orobosa Ashakah and Frank Ozue (Isoko North Constituencies I and II).

Chief Solomon Ogba highlighted the proposed Federal Medical Centre in Oleh and the planned dualisation of the Oleh Roundabout-Iyede Road as major developments for Isoko.
