“As a state we are proud to see our sons making real progress in the latest appointments to silk. We are glad that Delta State produced two of the 29 new Silks sworn in on Monday by the CJN.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate Barr. Festus Keyamo and Barr. Ekemejero Ohwovoriole on their recent elevation to the prestigious inner bar.

The Governor extends his sincere congratulations to the new Senior Advocates of Nigeria on the occasion of their conferment of the distinguished rank and urged the new silks to continue to be worthy ambassadors of Delta State even as they ensure high professionalism in the temple of justice.

Governor Okowa reminded the new silks of their conferment with a privilege which puts them in an onerous position of responsibility both morally and professionally,” adding,

He remarked that their sound command of the practice and ethics of the profession undoubtedly earned them the silk.
“As leaders in the enviable legal profession, your elevation places on you a crucial responsibility of providing pupilage for young lawyers.
It, therefore, behoves on you as Senior Advocates, to groom young lawyers well, not only in the practice of law but also in the ethics of the legal profession,” he added.
