Police Academy admission: Delta Command says list of shortlisted candidates released

Candidates, especially Deltans who applied for admission into the 7th Regular Course of degree programme of the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) Wudil, Kano State and participated in the selection examination held on the 24th of August 2019 are to note that the list of shortlisted candidates have been released.

Delta State Police Command said the list of shortlisted candidates for interview is pasted at the State Command Headquarters, Asaba.

A statement signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said the shortlisted candidates are expected to appear for selection interview and medical screening/fitness test at the Police Academic Wudi, Kano State between Thursdays, 7th to 13th November, 2019 unfailingly with the following items:
i. Original credentials with fifteen (15) copies of each including Primary and Secondary schools testimonials. (both junior and senior)

ii. Fifteen (15) passport size photograph

iii. Birth certificate or declaration of age, certificate of local government of origin duly signed by the local government chairman

iv. Scratch cards for WAEC/NECO or NABTEB for online verification of results

v. White canvass, vest, blue knickers, socks and cutlery

vi. Original UTME result slip 2019, Police academy acknowledgement/examination form downloaded from the internet, second copy of their postcard signed by the supervisor during selection examination.

According to the statement, the state governments are to send their representatives on relevant dates to authenticate indigene-ship of their candidates.

It advised parents and guardians to stay clear of the venue as they will not be allowed into the academy while accommodation will be provided for the candidates during the exercise.

While noting that successful candidates would be notified via SMS, the statement said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Adeyinka Adeleke wishes all shortlisted candidates from the Delta State success and urged them to demonstrate exemplary behaviour throughout the screening.
