Transfer of civil servants: Delta CSC sets up panel

By Johnson Ebigide

The Delta State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has constituted an inter-ministerial panel of assessors to conduct extended interviews for the transfer of some serving civil servants into the Administrative and other special departmental cadres of the civil service in the state.

The concerned civil servants were those that passed the requisite public service examination, conducted by the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON)  in 2021, for the purpose of such inter cadre transfer in the state.

A public service announcement, signed by the Director of Information in the state Ministry of Information, Mrs Theresa Adiabua-Oliko, enjoined all affected serving officers to register their names in the Department of Recruitment and Promotions at the CSC in Asaba, the state capital.

It added that the concerned officers were to appear for the registration with their local government identification letters, academic certificates, letters of first appointment and present appointment, letters of approval of study and notification of results, issued by the Directorate of Establishments and Pensions and statement of results of ASCON examination, issued to them by the commission.

The closing date for the registration exercise has been fixed for Monday,  October 4, 2021 and no registration would be entertained beyond that date.

The registration exercise would be followed by the conduct of a written examination for all eligible officers on Saturday,  October 9, 2021 at the Model Secondary School, GRA, in Asaba at 9.00 a.m. prompt.

It added that the candidates would be tested in English Language, General Knowledge and Mathematics and urged the concerned officers to appear for the examination with their face masks, staff identity cards and the ASCON examination results, issued them by the CSC, as well as writing materials.

Accordingly, heads of departments of ministries, extra- departments and agencies (MDAs) in the state were requested to kindly give the announcement the widest publicity it deserved for the information and guidance of those concerned.
