One of his close friends, Abubakar Adam Ibrahim in a statement obtained by DAILY POST POST on Monday noted that the aged parents are still waiting to see the arrival of their son.

Ibrahim said, “Two years ago today, Abubakar Idris Dadiyata was kidnapped from his residence in Kaduna.

“Since then, neither he nor his car has been seen. In December 2019, I spoke to his parents. They are still praying for his return.

“His wife witnessed his abduction. She has been lost without her husband or any news of him. His oldest daughter is still waiting for his return.

“He had promised to help her put together this puzzle he had bought her. They have been waiting for two long years.

“Fingers point at Nigerian authorities, who have denied taking him. There has been no ransom demand, there has been no contact. Only a whistling silence.”
