Oborevwori to commission 18km of roads in Ndokwa West as 3rd anniversary projects

ASABA — Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, inaugurate three major road projects spanning a total of 18 kilometres in Ndokwa West Local Government Area as part of activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.

The projects, scheduled for inauguration at 11:00 a.m., are expected to boost connectivity, ease transportation challenges and stimulate socio-economic development in the benefiting communities.

According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the projects slated for commissioning include the 4.5-kilometre Obi-Ibabu/Ibabu Road in Onicha-Ukwuani, the 5.0-kilometre Utagba-Uno/Ndemili Road Phase I, and the 8.4-kilometre Etua Ukpo/Etua Etiti/Etua Oliogo Road, all located in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.

Ahon said the road projects were executed under Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and reflect the administration’s commitment to expanding critical infrastructure across Delta State while improving the living standards of residents.

He noted that the projects would enhance access to communities, facilitate economic activities and open up more development opportunities in the area.

The statement also urged community leaders, residents, party faithful and other stakeholders to turn out in large numbers to welcome the governor and his entourage during the commissioning ceremony.

Guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m. ahead of the commencement of the event.

The inauguration forms part of a series of activities lined up by the state government to commemorate Governor Oborevwori’s third year in office, a period that has witnessed the execution of several strategic infrastructure projects across the state.

The commissioning is expected to further underscore the administration’s focus on road infrastructure as a key driver of economic growth and rural development under the MORE Agenda.
