ASABA – Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has authorized the payment of financial assistance to 533 indigenous graduates of the Nigerian Law School’s 2025 session, in a move aimed at bolstering human capital development and easing the financial strain on emerging legal professionals.
The approval was made public on Thursday via a notice from the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, published in The Pointer newspaper. The Board confirmed that all beneficiaries are of Delta State origin and will receive the support following the governor’s directive.
To facilitate the disbursement, the Board has ordered affected graduates to electronically submit key documents within a strict one-week window, from July 23 to July 29, 2026. Required paperwork includes the Nigerian Law School admission letter, Certificate of Call to the Bar, a valid national ID, Local Government identification, and bank account details. All documents must be scanned and sent to the Board’s official email: dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng.
Dr. Godfrey Enita, Executive Secretary of the Board, who signed the notice, urged all eligible recipients to adhere to the submission deadline to prevent processing delays. He emphasized that the intervention is part of the Oborevwori administration’s broader MORE Agenda, which prioritizes investment in education and youth empowerment.
