In brief remarks, the National Coordinator Comrade Iornzurghul Nicholas said the group is poised to make impact in line with it’s aims and objectives.
He said ” This appointment is a responsibility that I take with all seriousness.
The Nigerian Polity needs quality innovations and engagements that can redefine the sociopolitical sphere and Committed Minds For Positive Development Initiative (COMPDIN) is poised to contribute it’s quota to a better society”.
In his remarks the BOT Chair Olorogun Dr Rufus Ebegba said one of the cardinal areas for the COMPDIN was social engagement.
He said “The conception of Committed Minds For Positive Development Initiative (COMPDIN) came from a strong opinion to engage the citizenry, especially youths and women on burning issues, to give the right orientation and correct misconceptions about the functionality of our governance system.
“We can see that over the past few months, a huge number of the young persons have gotten more interested in sociopolitical affairs, as can be seen in the renewed enthusiasm to get their voters cards. This is a very positive development.
“COMPDIN would therefore strive to ensure that there are opportunities for interaction and expression within the growing number of interested youths, when it comes to governance, administration and general social discourse. The goal is to ensure that there is a better understanding of our Nation, the status quo and aggregate an acceptable action plan to move forward”.
According to the statement from the BOT, though appointments were made in acting capacity, offices are to function with immediate effect, as a line up of programs will follow shortly.
“The general public and interested individuals are encouraged to follow the organization’s Facebook Handle on “Committed Minds For Positive Development Initiative – Compdin”
