The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State has called on eligible and qualified Deltans, who have registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to go and check the Voters Register which will be displayed in all polling units from November 6th – November 12th, 2018 and confirm that their names have been captured in the Register, so they can fully participate in the 2019 general elections.
A signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, also urged all PDP leaders, stakeholders and party faithful across the State to encourage, mobilize and assist in the collective effort to ensure that Deltans are fully registered to use their PVCs to vote for all the candidates of the PDP in all the elections in 2019.
Dr. Osuoza said: “The Delta State PDP hereby urges all eligible and qualified Deltans, who have already registered as voters, to use the window of opportunity provided by INEC to check and confirm their names on the voter’s register. INEC will display the voters register from November 6th – November 12th, 2018 and we are calling on all eligible Deltans to go and check their names at their polling units.”
“We also wish to especially appeal to all our party leaders and stakeholders at the units, wards, local governments and State to embrace this exercise wholeheartedly and treat it with the seriousness and urgency it deserves, by encouraging, assisting and supporting their constituents to participate fully in this exercise and ensure that their PVCs will be fully utilized for the PDP in the 2019 elections,” Osuoza urged.
The Delta PDP Spokesman, who also took swipe at the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC in the State, over the confusion that has scattered the party, following its primaries, charged Deltans to use the Display of Voters register by INEC to confirm their right to vote and ensure that they are fully prepared to resist any attempt in any form to manipulate the election and vote out the confusion and commotion which the APC has brought to Nigeria in 2019.
“Deltans have now seen with their eyes, the ‘Fuji House of Confusion and Commotion’ which the APC has become both in our State and across the country in the last three years. How can a party that cannot even conduct its own congresses and primaries lead Delta State and Nigeria? The PDP has proved beyond doubt with our State congresses and our party primaries at the State and presidential levels that we are the most organized and prepared political party to take over the leadership of the country again and consolidate our reign in Delta State. We urge Deltans to go and confirm their names on the voter’s register and be vigilant and fully prepared for the 2019 elections. Nigeria and Delta State does not want the confusion and commotion of APC in our lives anymore”.
